Death-related traffic accidents
Of these San Diego traffic accidents, there were 315 fatalities, including pedestrians and cyclists who were hit by cars. 35 of these deaths were alcohol-related (11%).
San Diego pedestrian collisions
The latest annual figures show 897 collisions involving pedestrians . . . 831 were injured . . . 89 pedestrians were killed.

Out of 672 collisions involving bicyclists in the latest year reporting, there were 658 bicyclists injured and 9 fatalities. 111 of the bicyclist injuries were caused by improper turning of the vehicle. Unsafe vehicle speed caused two bicyclist fatalities.
Motorcycle San Diego traffic accidents
The latest annual statistics on motorcycle traffic accidents in San Diego County report 1,384 motorcycle crashes. Forty-six lost their lives in those wrecks. Another 1,540 people were injured.
